Long description to follow, most likely! I just...ramble about characters and I'm so awkward asdfasfs QnQ
About the picture
I put a lot of symbolism in this one (aka, I tried to), because the story behind it is quite long; basically, you can see quite a few of my Malyshev characters in there (those characters minatop3-tatty.deviantart.com/… ), from left to right, Dasha, Natalija, Nikolaj, Grigorij and Frederic, (Fred's last brother Lev is missing in there, but there's a reason). Still, onto the picture, I put a lot of either warm or bright colors onto the characters theselves, so that they would pop out, mostly because no matter how much of bad situation they were in (economical-wise and more) it'd still be okay overall, while the darker colors gradually overlaying with each other up to the night sky have a little bit deeper conception. Basically, Grigorij walked out on those kids, so if they thought that had a nice idea of what was going to happen to them despite money and such, as soon as he was gone, everything got dark, because all of the certainess they had completely disappeared.
That said, I'll probably just say that this picture probably belongs to Fred (he's the youngest in his family, so he's the little kid in there), which is why, although ripped up, it still has some tape to get it together; I simply do not see Fred as the kind of character who would hate on his father, no matter what he'd done, mostly because he would've probably acted way better with him than his mother had. However, this doesn't mean that he had regrets at times, or just got angry at how things went for him, although I honestly do not know if my headcanon for the picture being ripped apart is either him toring it apart of just getting like that because of more than 15 years passing by.
Onto the other characters, Fred has 4 siblings, yet only 3 are shown. The missing one, Lev (this guy fav.me/d681wyr ), is not in the piture for he is the only one between the kids who got least affected by the absence of a fatherly figure, whereas the other ones all dealed with it way differently. Dasha, for instance, (the one with dirty-golden blond hair), is the second oldest of the kids, and she was deeply affected by such an event, for she was a little girl, and obviously saw herself as 'Daddy's princess', so basically, all of her hopes just crushed. Nikolaj (the brunet) was the oldest, and he didn't get affected much by the loss (compared to the others), yet much more by the consequences which had happened because of his dad's actions, although this is no description to talk about such. Natalja, second youngest (you can now tell that Lev, up there, is precisely the middle kid) got hurt by it, obviously, but her feelings were more directed towards Nikolaj's reactions and actions, as she feared that he could overwork himself or try dangerous things, which he did do in the end. As to mention Frederic yet again, he was way too young too even remember things properly around the time-verse I'm mentioning, but this doesn't mean he wasn't firmly affected by such event, both by himself and also passively by seeing Dasha, who's by far his favorite sister, break down because of it, or maybe even his mom, although the relationship between the two was and is to this day very rocky and to some extent abusive. So yeah, in little words, bright/pastel-y colors, unsure yet still nice times, medium bright-less saturated ones for a little bit of a climax, and then darker tone to emphasize the whole 'What now' sort of feeling.
